About The Position

Steam Adventures is looking for enthusiastic college students to serve as STEAM Coaches in after-school programs, focusing on teaching technical concepts through robotics and coding, while also managing classroom dynamics. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on teaching experience and contribute to the educational development of young learners in partnership with NYC schools and ACS.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in a college program related to Computer Science/STEAM or Education.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous tutoring or teaching experience is a plus, but not required.
• Passion for STEAM education and empowering young learners.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging STEAM lessons centered around robotics and coding for CS/STEAM Majors.
• Collaborate with the Education Coach to integrate practical STEAM applications.
• Assist students with technical challenges and encourage creative problem-solving for CS/STEAM Majors.
• Manage the classroom setting, ensuring a conducive learning environment for Education Majors.
• Assist in the preparation and execution of lessons for Education Majors.
• Support students in understanding concepts and completing tasks for Education Majors.
