About the position
The STEAM Coordinator at Catapult Learning is responsible for enhancing the educational experience of students in a non-public high school setting. This role focuses on providing support to STEM teachers, facilitating hands-on learning experiences, and preparing students for STEM competitions. The coordinator will also serve as a mentor and advocate for students, ensuring they receive the guidance and support needed to succeed academically.
Responsibilities
- Be an advocate, difference maker, and mentor for students.
- Provide assistance to STEM teachers and classes.
- Deliver demonstrations and hands-on experiences for students.
- Organize and prepare students to compete in STEM competitions.
- Assist the school by substituting as needed.
- Teach 1 or 2 courses in related science fields if needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
- Experience working with students in a school setting, preferably with high school aged students.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and flexible.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, OneDrive, Zoom, etc.
