About the position

The Steel Buyer role at Honda is focused on procuring and coordinating the supply of raw materials, specifically steel, to support HDMA and its suppliers. This position aims to initiate and support cost reduction targets while ensuring timely delivery and improving customer service and supplier management. The Steel Buyer will also lead projects aimed at enhancing departmental profitability and efficiency, while maintaining effective communication with management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Purchasing or sales experience
• Customer service experience
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Conflict management skills
• Strong understanding of general business concepts
• Basic knowledge of cost accounting (profit/loss impact)
