About the position
The Polisher operates machinery typical to the stainless polishing industry including, but not limited to drum-sanding, lathe-turn polishing, and power hand tool operation. Other tasks performed include general shop tasks such as maintaining shop cleanliness, general preventative maintenance and upkeep of machinery, and staging finished products by packaging, palletizing, banding/strapping, and wrapping.
Responsibilities
- Operate machinery typical to the stainless polishing industry including drum-sanding and lathe-turn polishing.
- Perform power hand tool operation.
- Maintain shop cleanliness and perform general shop tasks.
- Conduct general preventative maintenance and upkeep of machinery.
- Stage finished products by packaging, palletizing, banding/strapping, and wrapping.
Requirements
- Proven warehouse experience, metals manufacturing preferred.
- Previous stainless fabrication experience and ability to read simple fabrication drawings is a plus.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Basic math skills.
- Working knowledge of general computer programs.
