About the position

As a Product Lifecycle Manager at Körber Supply Chain LLC, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the budget for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) activities. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that research and development (R&D) efforts align with financial constraints and organizational goals. You will work closely with key stakeholders, including the Sales team, to foster ideation and gather input for R&D and PLM planning, ensuring that product development meets market needs and drives innovation. In this role, you will partner with both external and internal stakeholders, as well as R&D and Engineering teams, to guide research and development from initial concepts through to production and market launch. You will ensure that local PLM activities are in sync with Global PLM and R&D teams, effectively allocating tasks and resources to optimize product development. Additionally, you will be responsible for formulating the local R&D budget and overseeing its execution, adapting as necessary to meet changing requirements. You will lead R&D initiatives as needed to support the business's strategic objectives and product innovation. Staying informed about the latest PLM best practices will be crucial, as you will incorporate these practices into your work to maintain a competitive edge. Furthermore, you will support innovation and intellectual property (IP) activities, ensuring that the IP resulting from product development is protected and does not pose any risk to the organization. You will also assist in the company's financial optimization by preparing and submitting documentation required for R&D tax credits.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the product lifecycle, encompassing all stages from ideation, development, and production to promotion, retirement, and end-of-life management.
  • Experience with industrial products that combine mechanical, electrical, and software/control elements, with a preference for automated equipment.
  • Solid background in analyzing complex customer standards/specifications to extract product development requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 8-10 years of successful experience in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).
  • Skilled in using MS Project for Gantt charts, MS Excel for data analysis and proposal development, MS PowerPoint and MS Word for presentations and documentation, AutoCAD 2D, and a 3D Modeling package such as UG NX.
  • Proven track record of spearheading change initiatives that have a broad impact across the organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, capable of effectively collaborating with a multidisciplinary Engineering team.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time for customer meetings and on-site integration testing.
