About the position

Körber Supply Chain LLC is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Dallas Fort Worth area. This role is pivotal in our mission to deliver innovative solutions in the Mail & Parcel logistics sector. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will work in a collaborative environment, leveraging your expertise in electrical power engineering to meet the evolving needs of our customers. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire project life cycle, from requirements engineering to final deployment, allowing you to gain comprehensive experience in the field. In this role, you will develop, prepare, and implement electrical designs and systems, ensuring compliance with current standards and customer requirements. You will be responsible for preparing technical documentation, which includes electrical models, device layouts, network drawings, schematics, and bills of materials (BOM). Additionally, you will manage the ordering of electrical parts and collaborate with distributors to ensure timely delivery of components. Your involvement in the design process will span from initial layouts to the final As-Built drawings, providing you with a holistic view of project execution. Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively in a team-based environment to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Utilize knowledge of electrical power engineering fundamentals to meet customer needs.
  • Assist in the entire life cycle of projects, from requirements engineering to final deployment.
  • Develop, prepare, and implement electrical designs/systems in compliance with standards and customer requirements.
  • Prepare technical documentation including electrical models, device layouts, network drawings, schematics, and BOM.
  • Order electrical parts and collaborate with distributors for component procurement.
  • Participate in the design process from initial layouts to final As-Built drawings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience designing electrical power panels and power distribution systems for industrial automation equipment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards for industrial equipment (UL, CSA, NFPA, IEC) and experience applying that knowledge.
  • Understanding of safety standards for industrial equipment (ISO, OSHA, ANSI, NFPA) and experience in designing safety systems.
  • Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD for creating schematics for power panels and wiring harnesses.
  • Experience in component selection for electrical power panels, including motor controls and motor selection.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 25%).
  • Strong oral and verbal communication, reporting, and writing skills.
