Responsibilities
- Decontaminate surgical instruments and equipment.
- Assemble surgical instrument trays for procedures.
- Pull cases needed for surgical procedures.
- Follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the SPD.
Requirements
- 6 months of experience in a Sterile Processing Department or equivalent experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Motor coordination and manual dexterity for handling instruments.
- Visual acuity for working with delicate instruments.
- Ability to lift instrument trays or boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to push carts with a loaded weight of up to 100 pounds.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in an Operating Room setting.
- Instrument training or certification.
