The Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) position at Point System LLC involves ensuring the proper sterilization and preparation of medical instruments and equipment. The technician will work on a contract basis, primarily in travel nursing, and is expected to have a solid background in sterile processing and aseptic techniques.
Responsibilities
- Ensure proper sterilization of medical instruments and equipment.
- Prepare and assemble surgical instruments for procedures.
- Maintain a sterile environment in compliance with health regulations.
- Utilize aseptic techniques during processing and handling of instruments.
- Collaborate with nursing and surgical teams to meet operational needs.
Requirements
- 2 years of recent experience as a Sterile Processing Technician (SPT).
- Certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST).
- Knowledge of anatomy and sterile processing procedures.
- Ability to work night shifts and flexible hours.
Nice-to-haves
- Certification as a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT).
- Experience in travel nursing roles.
