About the position

The Camp Director at Steve & Kate's Camp is responsible for planning and executing a kid-centric summer day camp and other seasonal programs. This role involves marketing initiatives, building relationships with camp families, recruiting and training staff, and overseeing operations and logistics. The Camp Director aims to create an inclusive camp community while ensuring safety and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute innovative summer day camp programs and seasonal break events.
• Develop and implement local marketing initiatives to promote camp programs.
• Establish and build relationships with camp families and the community.
• Recruit, hire, train, and lead seasonal staff teams.
• Oversee logistics, compliance, operations, and inventory management for camp programs.
• Create a dynamic and inclusive camp community for campers, staff, and families.
• Ensure safety, operational efficiency, and profitability of camp programs.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Minimum of two seasons of camp supervisory experience or equivalent experience in child care or education with supervisory experience.
• Past management or leadership experience is required; experience managing teams of 5 or more preferred.

• Experience in team management and leadership roles.
• Ability to multitask and manage administrative tasks efficiently.
• Stamina to engage with children aged 4-12 and handle physical demands of the role.
