STEWARD DEEP CLEANER

About the position

The Steward Deep Cleaner at PENN Entertainment, Inc. is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas. This role involves physical activity and requires coordination with supervisors to ensure that all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and safely. The position is integral to the overall operation, ensuring that health and safety standards are met while contributing to a fun and engaging work environment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the tasks assigned by the Steward Supervisor and Executive Steward.
• Coordinate materials and equipment to maintain cleanliness/sanitation of workstation and communicate problems/concerns to supervisor or kitchen management.
• Perform considerable physical activity on a continuous basis throughout the shift, including working in confined spaces and awkward positions.
• Comprehend product labeling instructions for the safe application of cleaning products.
• Maintain inventory of supplies needed to perform job functions.
• Clean kitchen equipment, including stoves, broilers, ovens, fryers, steam tables, and other assigned kitchen equipment.
• Clean floor mats and kitchen floors and walls on a nightly basis, including deep cleaning/steam cleaning as needed.
• Move, organize, and store kitchen equipment in assigned locations in an organized manner.
• Clean, de-lime, sanitize, and perform preventive maintenance on dish machines.
• Wash dishware, flatware, pots, pans, and other kitchen/service utensils as required/assigned.
• Perform special cleaning projects in other areas of the operation, including bars and dining areas as assigned by leadership.
• Ensure 'Wet Floor' signs and other markers are used appropriately.
• Ensure kitchen workers have and use the proper equipment necessary for the job (gloves, goggles, chemicals, etc.).
• Ensure that all equipment functions properly.
• Maintain the levels and standards of cleanliness and safety set by Cactus Petes Casino and the Health Department.
