About the position
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our culinary team at Cowboys and Cadillacs Rooftop Bar, New Braunfels' newest premier venue for eats, drinks, and live music. The Dishwasher will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized promptly. This position is essential in supporting the overall operations of our restaurant, allowing our chefs and food service staff to focus on delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using appropriate cleaning methods.
- Operate dishwashing machines and ensure they are functioning properly.
- Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area, including proper disposal of waste.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including washing vegetables and preparing ingredients.
- Support kitchen staff by bussing tables and clearing away used dishes during peak service times.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain workflow efficiency during busy periods.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with culinary practices, including food preparation techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
