About the position

Eurest is hiring immediately for a full-time STEWARD position located at Pfizer Pearl River. The role involves maintaining kitchen work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 6:15 am to 2:45 pm, with some evenings included. Previous stewarding experience and ServSafe certification are preferred. The position offers various benefits, including shift meals and 401K, and training is available for those who need it.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop floors at appropriate intervals to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Operate large electric machines such as dishwashers, sanitizers, trash compactors, and glass crushers.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks and all other food prep surfaces as assigned.
• Segregate and remove trash and garbage and place it in designated containers.
• Steam clean or hose out garbage cans in appropriate and assigned areas.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and other food preparation machines and equipment.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas observing all safe lifting standards.
• Assist with banquet table and front of the house set up as requested.
• Assist with loading or unloading and delivering supplies and product.
• Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment as needed.
• Comply with all outlined sanitation and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous stewarding experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
