About the position

The Steward Supervisor at Intuit Dome, part of Compass Group, is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the stewarding department. This role involves maintaining high standards of quality in food preparation and service, training and supervising team members, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. The position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service while managing a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist shift supervisors and department directors in the day-to-day function of the department.
  • Maintain high level of quality in all aspects of the department duties by training, supporting, supervising, and interacting with department team members.
  • Ensure that all schedules are assigned and completed daily.
  • Set a positive example for the department through professional interactions with team members, customers, and families.
  • Deliver quality customer service by providing one-on-one attention to detail.
  • Provide assignments and assistance to team members.
  • Demonstrate proper use of personal protective equipment in all aspects of job performance.
  • Relieve shift supervisor in times of absence and adjust or cover schedules as needed during times of short staffing.
  • Conduct quality assurance surveys to ensure team members maintain set standards.
  • Monitor and report any equipment issues or shortages.
  • Conduct customer and patient surveys.
  • Maintain standards and specifications related to food preparation and food handling on a daily basis.
  • Assist in inventory management, including restocking supplies when necessary.
  • Dispose of waste in accordance with waste management procedures.
  • Clean all pots and pans along with cleaning and maintaining kitchens and stewarding.
  • Follow and maintain knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Clean kitchen equipment and practice all HACCP procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year experience in stewarding roles with a focus on high volume production.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role.
  • Proven ability to read and understand directions.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Speed, accuracy, and efficiency are required, with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to adapt to production requirements.
