About the position

The Stewarding Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the stewarding department within a hospitality setting, ensuring compliance with health regulations and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service. This role involves managing staff, addressing guest concerns, and ensuring that all food and beverage outlets meet health and safety standards. The supervisor acts as a liaison between staff and management, providing support and guidance to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the hiring, training, evaluation, development, and disciplining of departmental employees.
  • Act as a liaison between line staff and departmental leadership to address job performance and staffing challenges.
  • Address guest concerns and provide service recovery as needed.
  • Cover short-staffed workstations to maintain department expectations.
  • Maintain responsibility for food and beverage outlets' compliance with SNHD standards and regulations, including daily health inspections.
  • Develop routine sanitation programs for cleanliness of all food and beverage outlets.
  • Assist the Assistant Executive Steward in inventory management of small wares, china, glass, and silverware.
  • Implement and ensure execution of preventative maintenance programs.
  • Assist with setup, teardown, and replenishment of banquet events as directed by Banquet Management.
  • Regularly communicate with BOH and FOH Management to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure staff has necessary tools to perform their job duties effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with gaming laws and company policies, including Title 31 and federal regulations.
  • Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • 1 year of previous experience managing a Stewarding department in the hospitality industry preferred.
  • Working knowledge of kitchen equipment and sanitation guidelines.
  • Understanding of SNHD health regulations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and lead in small groups and on an individual basis.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  • ServSafe certification preferred.
  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Verify right to work in the United States.
