The Data Entry Operator is responsible for intake and inventory of Cannabis product in the manufacturing facility. This position reviews and maintains all manufacturing data and validates production in the operating systems. The role requires a strong understanding of relevant databases and the ability to enter data quickly and accurately. The Data Entry Operator must ensure compliance with all company policies and state guidelines while maintaining the highest standards of security and compliance in handling cannabis products. Key responsibilities include compiling, verifying accuracy, and sorting information according to priorities, transferring data from paper and electronic files into a database system, and maintaining files of source documents. The operator will also perform data-entry tasks, review data for deficiencies or errors, audit inventory control forms, and ensure proper classification and accuracy of inventory. This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently knowledgeable and compliant with all Rules and Regulations.
  • Follows company policies and state guidelines.
  • Compiles, verifies accuracy, and sorts information according to priorities.
  • Transfers data from paper and electronic files into a database system.
  • Sorts and organizes electronic files after entering data.
  • Maintains files of source documents or other information relative to data entered.
  • Performs data-entry tasks, making tags and manifests.
  • Reviews data for deficiencies or errors.
  • Audits Inventory Control Forms with METRC, Air Tabel and other internal data systems to identify discrepancies.
  • Ensures proper classification and accuracy of inventory.
  • Assists in or performs the filing and storage of security and backup data files.
  • Retrieves data and reports from databases as requested.
  • Ensures accuracy on all received orders.
  • Identifies and escalates any discrepancies to management.
  • Complies with company commitments and objectives.
  • Maintains highest standards of security and compliance by adhering to all receiving, quarantine, handling, and storage requirements in METRC and other databases.

Requirements

  • Strong computer & clerical skills.
  • Technical expertise in relevant databases.
  • Ability to enter data into a computer quickly and accurately.
  • Proficient in Microsoft & Google processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, Google Docs, etc.).
  • Fast typing skills: 60 wpm or more.
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices.
  • Detail oriented with analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment to meet required deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work overtime when required.
  • A minimum of 1-year previous data entry experience.
  • Proven experience as a METRC data entry clerk with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Possesses working knowledge of subject matter.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management System or ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) necessary.
