About the position

The STNA (State Tested Nurse Aide) position at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center is a full-time role focused on providing direct resident care and supporting licensed staff. The role involves performing various nurse aide functions to ensure the comfort and personal needs of residents are met, under the supervision of a Charge Nurse. The position emphasizes adherence to applicable standards, guidelines, and organizational policies to promote resident satisfaction and safety.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge and skill necessary to provide care appropriate to needs of the residents served.
• Provide direct resident care and room preparation as directed by the nursing staff.
• Communicate ordering needs to inventory personnel to restock resident care supplies as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Display service excellence and emulate the standards of behavior to promote resident satisfaction.
• Comply with organizational policies, procedures, and practices to ensure quality job performance and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Meet the minimum required age of 16 years old.
• Active registry as a State Tested Nurse Aide with the State of Ohio.
• Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to needs of the residents served.
• Basic knowledge of the principles related to the aging adult and problems associated with aging is required.
• Ability to assess data reflective of the resident status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each resident's needs.
