About the position

The Seasonal Stock Associate position at L.L.Bean involves receiving, processing, and stocking merchandise in the Freeport, Maine Outlet Store. This role supports various operational needs, including product replenishment, utility tasks, and customer service, while ensuring a safe and organized work environment. Associates are expected to demonstrate strong attention to detail and collaborate effectively with team members and customers from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, and stock merchandise.
• Transfer racks and skids from truck into back-stock receiving area.
• Receive and scan cases using RF devices.
• Open cases and sort merchandise into carts for stocking by department.
• Prep product to floor-ready standards with proper folding, stickers, and packaging.
• Replenish supplies throughout the store, including catalogs, bags, and gift boxes.
• Retrieve returns, pick and ship orders, and assist with monogramming and alterations.
• Determine disposition for merchandise returns and rejects, retagging and prepping products for the sales floor.
• Audit orders for shipping accuracy and stage for UPS pick up.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, assisting with daily upkeep and recycling efforts.
• Provide exceptional customer service using the GUIDE selling model.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Some experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with diverse team members and customers.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing tasks frequently.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Basic computer skills.
