About the position

As a Stocker/Cashier at Petco, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operations of the Pet Care Center. Your responsibilities will include managing inventory, stocking shelves, processing transactions, and providing excellent customer service. This position requires a passion for animal welfare and a commitment to creating a welcoming environment for guests and their pets.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage inventory across the Pet Care Center.
• Ensure merchandise is properly stocked, priced, and displayed.
• Process register transactions to create a great experience for guests.
• Support guest interactions and exhibit proficiency in the selling model.
• Promote animal welfare and adhere to animal care procedures.
• Complete training programs to maintain expertise in the role.
• Foster a positive culture of teamwork and collaboration.
• Adhere to operational guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Evaluate guest inquiries and refer to the Leader on Duty as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Proficiency in mathematics and above-average communication skills.
• Genuine interest in animals and their care.
• Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
