Stocker / Cashier

About the position

As a Stocker/Cashier at Petco, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operations of the Pet Care Center. This part-time position involves stocking shelves, managing inventory, processing register transactions, and providing excellent customer service to guests and their pets. You will contribute to a positive team culture while promoting animal welfare and maintaining a safe environment for both pets and customers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage inventory across the Pet Care Center.
• Ensure merchandise is properly stocked, priced, and displayed.
• Process register transactions to create a great experience for guests.
• Support guest interactions and exhibit a strong interest in animal welfare.
• Complete training programs to maintain expertise in the role.
• Promote a positive culture of teamwork and collaboration.
• Adhere to operational guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Evaluate guest inquiries and refer to the Leader on Duty as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Proficiency in mathematics and above-average communication skills.
• Genuine interest in animals and their care.
• Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Supervisory experience is a plus.
