About the position

The Stocker - Receiving position at Restaurant Depot is responsible for managing the delivery and stocking of products in the receiving department. This role involves ensuring that all products are properly handled, stored, and available for customers while providing excellent customer service. The Stocker will work closely with supervisors to maintain safety and efficiency in the receiving area.

Responsibilities

• Remove pallets from delivery trucks using a scooter or pallet/pump jack.
• Stage pallets and merchandise for supervisor inspections to meet HACCP regulations.
• Break down vendor pallets and separate products for different departments.
• Secure products on pallets by stocking merchandise and wrapping them properly.
• Complete block tags with item numbers and delivery dates for proper identification and rotation.
• Move pallets to designated departments as required.
• Maintain a safe work area by handling spills and disposing of trash promptly.
• Perform required safety checks on equipment before use.
• Inform supervisors of any safety concerns.
• Provide basic maintenance to equipment, such as charging electric equipment.
• Deliver prompt, courteous, and friendly customer service to customers.
• Assist customers with loading and off-loading products as needed.
• Help customers locate products and provide detailed information when necessary.
