About the position
The Stocking Team Supervisor is responsible for overseeing stocking associates, ensuring efficient unloading of trucks and stocking of new freight. This role requires physical strength and the ability to operate heavy machinery, as well as managing team performance and maintaining inventory standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of stocking associates.
- Ensure efficient unloading of trucks and stocking of new freight.
- Maintain inventory standards and organization in the backroom.
- Train and mentor new stocking associates.
- Monitor team performance and provide feedback.
Requirements
- Ability to lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds.
- Experience operating heavy machinery such as forklifts.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in retail or warehouse environments.
