The Storage Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a storage facility, ensuring efficient inventory management, and maintaining high levels of customer service. This role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, with a background in retail sales or inventory control being highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the storage facility, including inventory control and organization.
- Utilize POS systems to track inventory and sales transactions accurately.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure a smooth operation.
- Oversee budgeting processes to maintain financial efficiency within the storage operations.
- Recruit, train, and manage staff to ensure high performance and adherence to company policies.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory levels and implement strategies for improvement.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize storage solutions and improve overall efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a management role, preferably in retail or inventory control settings.
- Strong mathematical skills for budgeting and inventory analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems and their application in managing sales and inventory.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
- Knowledge of best practices in inventory control and storage management.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong leadership capabilities.
