The Store 3312-Dept Manager Inventory Control position in Dallas, TX, is a vital role within the retail environment, primarily responsible for overseeing the inventory control processes and managing the receiving of products from various vendors. This position reports directly to the Store Director and plays a crucial part in ensuring that all deliveries are accurately logged and that the store maintains a high standard of inventory management. The individual in this role will be tasked with verifying the accuracy of invoices, ensuring that any damages or shortages are properly credited, and operating receiving systems in accordance with company policies. A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining a good rapport with vendors and ensuring that the receiving, storage, and loading dock areas are secure, sanitary, and organized. In addition to managing the receiving processes, the Department Manager will also be responsible for training employees in store policies and procedures, particularly those related to inventory control and customer service. The role requires a proactive approach to prevent shrinkage, damage, and spoilage of products, which includes inspecting and maintaining equipment used in the receiving process. The Department Manager will also be expected to perform various duties related to ordering, stocking, and pricing products, particularly in the absence of other clerks. This position requires a strong understanding of company policies and guidelines, as well as the ability to enforce proper code dating for all products within the department. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to maintain a professional demeanor with both customers and co-workers.
