As an AP Executive Intern at Target, you will gain a valuable and realistic preview of the Executive Team Leader - Assets Protection role, which is akin to an Assistant Store Manager - Assets Protection. This internship is designed to provide you with hands-on experience in managing a safe and secure environment for both team members and guests while meeting financial goals related to shortage and profitability. Throughout the summer program, you will work closely with a mentor, immersing yourself in the AP business area and other team functions within our stores. Your role will involve leading a culture of physical security and safety, responding to crisis events, investigating theft, and educating team members on operational shortage priorities. You will be expected to take initiative in learning how to be an AP leader, actively participating in training activities, and demonstrating a commitment to Target's expectations of leaders. This includes providing timely performance feedback, influencing a safe and secure culture, and developing strategies to prevent theft and reduce shortage risks. The internship will not only enhance your leadership skills but also provide you with the opportunity to engage with various aspects of the business, from crisis management to team recruitment and talent management. You will be part of a collaborative and guest-obsessed team, working to create an experience that makes guests say, “I love Target!”
