The Retail Store Associate at C&S Wholesale Grocers plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the store. This position focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining store cleanliness, and supporting various departments to enhance the shopping experience for customers. The associate will engage with a diverse customer base, contributing to community building and driving sales.

Responsibilities

• Providing exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Maintaining proper shelf, cooler, and case conditions such as stocking, cleaning, and rotating products within the store.
• Ensuring cleanliness and sanitation in the department's cases, prep area, floors, and coolers.
• Minimizing shrink by resolving all price discrepancies immediately.
• Ensuring all equipment is treated and maintained properly.
• Following all food safety and sanitation procedures in accordance with company policies and all Federal, State, and Local regulations.
• Assisting workers in other departments when the needs of the business require.
• Collaborating with other departments for inter-departmental or storewide sales promotions.
• Performing other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Some experience in a retail store preferred.
• Ability to learn, differentiate, and retain information regarding product lines and locations.
• Ability to provide courteous and friendly customer service.
• Ability to read and understand product information.
