About the position

As a NAPA Automotive Parts Specialist, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers entering the retail store, providing them with automotive parts solutions and outstanding customer service. This role is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in the automotive industry, whether as a Parts Specialist or exploring other opportunities within the company. You will engage with customers, utilize your automotive knowledge, and assist team members in delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Provide auto parts answers and solutions for retail and wholesale customers in person and over the phone.
• Assist other NAPA team members with customer inquiries using your parts knowledge.
• Deliver outstanding customer care and interactions with everyone who visits the store.
• Engage retail customers to create a positive consumer experience.
• Utilize technology, including computers, cash registers, and paper catalogs, to assist customers.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License
• Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or willingness to learn about auto parts.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Technical or Trade school courses or degree.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong listening skills and empathy for customers.

Nice-to-haves

• Background and/or passion for the automotive industry, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership.
• Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, or auto body/collision.
• Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems.
• ASE Certifications.
