About the position

As a NAPA Automotive Parts Specialist, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers entering the retail store, providing expert advice and solutions for their automotive needs. This role emphasizes customer service, product knowledge, and teamwork, making it an excellent opportunity for those looking to grow their careers in the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide auto parts answers and solutions for retail and wholesale customers in person and over the phone.
• Assist other NAPA team members in answering customer questions using parts knowledge.
• Deliver outstanding customer care and interactions with everyone who visits the NAPA Store.
• Engage retail customers to provide a positive consumer experience.
• Utilize technology, including computers, cash registers, and catalog systems, to assist customers.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License
• Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or willingness to learn about auto parts.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Technical or Trade school courses or degree.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong listening skills and empathy for customers.

Nice-to-haves

• Background and/or passion for the automotive industry, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership.
• Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, or auto body/collision.
• Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems.
• ASE Certifications.
