The NAPA Automotive Parts Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for customers in the retail store, providing expert advice and solutions for automotive parts needs. This role emphasizes customer service, knowledge of automotive parts, and the ability to engage with both retail and wholesale customers. Responsibilities

• Provide auto parts answers and solutions for retail and wholesale customers in person and over the phone.
• Assist other NAPA team members with customer inquiries using parts knowledge.
• Deliver outstanding customer care and interactions in the store.
• Engage retail customers to ensure a positive consumer experience.
• Utilize technology, including computers, cash registers, and catalog systems.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License
• Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or willingness to learn about auto parts.
• High School Diploma or GED; Technical or Trade school courses or degree preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong listening skills and empathy for customers.

Nice-to-haves

• Background and/or passion for the automotive industry, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership.
• Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, or auto body/collision.
• Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems.
• ASE Certifications.
