About the position

The Store Director for the Rodeo Drive Boutique at Maison Valentino is a pivotal role responsible for creating and executing business strategies that enhance client engagement and connection. This position requires a strong focus on achieving budget and performance targets while embodying the values of the Maison. The Store Director will lead a team, ensuring a high level of customer service and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a «couture service» mindset and act as a role model.
  • Encourage creativity and a colleague-centric mindset within the team.
  • Ensure proper and timely communication of company contents through morning briefings and training.
  • Build the best team through talent retention and recruitment, ensuring career development and succession plans with HR support.
  • Provide coaching and development to all team members, managing their performance and motivation.
  • Organize and plan team activities, verifying day-to-day execution.
  • Create and maintain a motivated, positive, and safe work environment, managing delicate personnel situations according to company policies.
  • Conduct regular store meetings to inform the team about performance and sales objectives.
  • Assign and ensure achievement of quantitative and qualitative objectives.
  • Conduct annual performance appraisals for team members according to company rules.
  • Communicate and ensure compliance with state and federal labor laws.
  • Guarantee excellent client experience by monitoring sales activities and ensuring adherence to Valentino Client Journey standards.
  • Implement clienteling strategies to enhance client engagement and loyalty.
  • Maintain and develop external relations to promote brand loyalty and expand the network.
  • Manage the client database and promote brand loyalty according to CRM requirements.
  • Ensure inclusion of digital tools in the client journey and clienteling routine.
  • Assist in managing delicate sales activities and ensure respect for company procedures regarding sales and after-sales processes.
  • Develop knowledge about HQs and corporate guidelines.
  • Ensure stockroom procedures are strictly followed and manage inventory activities.
  • Guarantee safety of valuable products and materials in the store.
  • Partner with the merchandise team on seasonal buys and monitor product rotation.
  • Supervise back of house activities and report warehouse issues to corporate.
  • Ensure visual criteria execution in the store and manage store maintenance and operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in retail management, preferably in luxury fashion.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and drive performance based on KPIs.
  • Experience in client relationship management and clienteling strategies.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and operational procedures.
  • Understanding of visual merchandising principles and execution.
