About The Position

Requirements

  • Current Food Safety Management Certification or ability to acquire one within 90 days of hire.
  • 5+ years of retail grocery leadership and management experience.
  • Excellent people-leadership, organization, communication, delegation, and management skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and proficiency using web apps.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience (1 year preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Leading the entire store team to achieve overall financial targets including profitability, sales, and labor.
  • Guaranteeing a remarkable shopping environment with friendly team members and clean facilities.
  • Evaluating ongoing operations to identify opportunities for praise and improvement in each department.
  • Communicating regularly with the store team and upper management regarding updates and issues.
  • Validating that messages cascade appropriately through the entire store team.
  • Removing roadblocks for team members that impede their ability to perform their job.
  • Addressing customer and team member complaints, questions, and suggestions.
  • Interviewing potential store team leaders and team members.
  • Confirming effective team member orientation and training occurs in all departments.
  • Developing and mentoring management team members for future leadership positions.
  • Preparing and delivering performance evaluations and administering course corrections as necessary.
  • Understanding store systems and processes for effective use.
  • Maintaining a safe, harassment-free environment and conducting investigations as needed.
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Partnering with community organizations and staying informed about new products.
  • Monitoring use and maintenance of store equipment and facilities.
  • Researching direct market grocery competition and communicating findings.
