About the position

Grocery Outlet Inc. is seeking experienced grocery and retail managers who possess a deep understanding of store operations to independently run a Grocery Outlet location. This role is designed for individuals who are ready to transition from management to ownership, allowing them to operate their own Grocery Outlet store and share in the profits generated by their location. As a Grocery Outlet operator, you will be responsible for the total operations of the store, which includes comprehensive management of the Profit and Loss (P&L) statement, ensuring that all aspects of the business are running smoothly and efficiently. In this position, you will need to demonstrate strong decision-making skills to ensure that the store operates effectively. This includes making critical choices regarding ordering, merchandising, staffing, and other operational aspects. You will also be tasked with creating staffing models, hiring, training, and retaining employees to build a strong team that aligns with the company’s values and goals. Utilizing an existing distribution channel, you will customize your product offerings to meet the specific needs of your community, ensuring that the store remains relevant and appealing to local customers. Additionally, you will engage in local organization partnerships to make a positive impact in your community, reinforcing Grocery Outlet's commitment to community involvement. A strong drive and motivation are essential, as you will act as an ambassador for Grocery Outlet, representing the brand and its values in all interactions. Responsibilities

  • Independently run a Grocery Outlet location.
  • Manage total store operations including complete management of the P&L.

Requirements

  • 4 years of retail management experience.
  • Experience overseeing a large team including hiring and training.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to think quickly and be extremely results-oriented.
  • Creative problem-solver with experience in merchandising displays.
  • Interest in autonomy and making independent decisions for the retail store.
  • Open to relocation.
