About the position

Grocery Outlet Inc. is seeking experienced grocery and retail managers who possess a deep understanding of store operations to independently run a Grocery Outlet location. This role is designed for individuals who are ready to transition from management to ownership, allowing them to operate their own Grocery Outlet store and share in the profits generated by their location. As a Grocery Outlet operator, you will be responsible for the total operations of the store, which includes comprehensive management of the Profit and Loss (P&L) statement, ensuring that all aspects of the business are running smoothly and efficiently. In this position, you will be required to make strong decisions that align with the best interests of your store, including ordering, merchandising, and staffing. You will create staffing models, hire, train, and retain employees to build a strong team that reflects the values of Grocery Outlet. Utilizing an existing distribution channel, you will customize your product offerings to meet the specific needs of your community, fostering local partnerships that make a positive impact. A strong drive and motivation are essential, as you will act as an ambassador for Grocery Outlet, representing the brand and its commitment to customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in retail management, with at least four years of experience overseeing a large team. You should be detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of thinking quickly in a fast-paced environment. A results-oriented mindset is crucial, along with creative problem-solving skills and experience with merchandising displays. This role also requires a willingness to relocate, as you will be taking on the responsibility of managing your own store.
