We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. Responsibilities

• Operate cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems to process customer transactions efficiently.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring accuracy in all financial exchanges.
• Provide product demonstrations to customers, showcasing features and benefits of various items.
• Assist in supervising junior staff members during peak hours to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and surrounding displays.
• Stock shelves and ensure products are properly displayed and available for customers.
• Communicate effectively with customers to address inquiries or concerns regarding products or services.
• Utilize retail math skills to assist with pricing adjustments and inventory management.

Requirements

• Proficiency in operating cash registers and POS systems.
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries.
• Experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to perform product demos effectively, engaging customers and promoting sales.
• Basic knowledge of retail math for accurate transaction processing.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
• Supervisory experience is a plus, particularly in training or guiding new staff members.
