About the position

The Store/Grounds Workampers position involves a unique opportunity for couples to work together in a campground setting, where they will share responsibilities and shifts. Typically, each couple will work a total of 16 hours per week, with one partner handling office duties and the other focusing on outdoor tasks. The office work includes taking reservations, checking guests in, and selling items in the store, while the outdoor responsibilities encompass a variety of tasks such as escorting guests to their sites, performing light maintenance, and ensuring the grounds are well-kept. The campground utilizes Campground Master software for reservations, which is user-friendly and easy to learn. In exchange for their work, the couple will not incur any charges for their 50 amp site, which includes amenities such as a cement pad, propane, WiFi internet, electricity, and laundry facilities. Additionally, they will receive a 20% discount on store items (excluding consignment items) and RV parts from Camping World at cost plus tax. A year-end bonus is also provided to all Workampers who complete their seasonal commitment. The campground prides itself on creating a positive workamping experience, as evidenced by its recognition as Employers of the Year by Workamper News magazine in 2008, nominated by several workampers. The position requires friendly, outgoing, and motivated individuals who enjoy interacting with the public. The work environment is dynamic, with a mix of indoor and outdoor tasks that contribute to the overall guest experience at the RV Park. The campground emphasizes teamwork and encourages workampers to take pride in maintaining the cleanliness and aesthetics of the park, treating it as their own home.
