About the position

As a Store Lead at JoS.A.Bank, you will partner with the Store Manager to support the store team in achieving sales performance expectations. This role involves active coaching, fostering a team selling environment, and ensuring operational excellence while managing the store in the absence of the Store Manager. You will be responsible for inspiring the team, enhancing customer experiences, and contributing to an inclusive store environment.

  • Partner with Store management to lead store staff in achieving sales and operational expectations.

  • Communicate priorities and sales-driving information effectively to store staff.
  • Assist in recruiting store staff and contribute to an inclusive environment.
  • Support management in achieving store business plans, including sales and customer service goals.
  • Leverage store reports to drive business decisions.
  • Participate in business outreach opportunities and communicate leads to Store Manager.
  • Identify performance opportunities and contribute to development plans.
  • Ensure proper staffing to execute initiatives and operational tasks.
  • Assist with training store staff on internal operational functions.
  • Stay informed on corporate communications and policies.
  • Support implementation of store programs to increase efficiencies in sales and operations.
  • Contribute to an engaged and inclusive store environment where contributions are valued.
  • Conduct regular store meetings to keep team members updated on company directives.
  • Train the store team on customer service expectations to create an exceptional customer experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of Retail or Sales experience.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates active listening and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to train and develop high-performing store teams.
  • Proficient in technology systems, applications, Microsoft Office, and video conferencing.
  • Ability to operate a computer and POS System.
