About the position

The Store Leader Trainee position at 7-Eleven is designed for individuals who aspire to lead a store team and drive profitability while ensuring excellent customer service. This role involves executing merchandising and marketing initiatives, developing team skills, and maintaining a clean and safe store environment. The position offers opportunities for advancement and is ideal for those with previous supervisory experience who enjoy working in a management team setting.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching for all store employees.
  • Implement all merchandising and marketing programs effectively.
  • Utilize P&L and store reports to drive operational changes.
  • Manage cash handling, fuel transactions, and promote the rewards loyalty program.
  • Ensure compliance with health and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and presentable store.
  • Develop and empower employees to enhance productivity and retention.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred, or at least one year of retail management experience.
  • Valid Driver's License from the state of residence with automotive liability insurance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, especially Word and Excel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
