About the position

The Store Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing the operational excellence of the store, managing logistics, and ensuring compliance with sales, safety, and security practices. This role involves leading a team of up to 40 members, driving performance, and implementing strategies to achieve operational goals while maintaining a strong focus on customer service and team development.

Responsibilities

  • Overall management responsibility for the execution and operational excellence of the entire store.
  • Management responsibility for store logistics and participation in personnel decisions including selection, training, discipline, and development.
  • Provides departmental direction and daily supervisory oversight to Logistics and Merchandising Team Leads.
  • Develops and implements strategy for achieving weekly and monthly operational goals.
  • Manages workforce productivity, efficiency, and process improvement projects.
  • Responsible for compliance with established sales, safety, and security practices and procedures.
  • Ensures completion of departmental zoning and adherence to company standards.
  • Supervises execution of various assignments as delegated by the Store Director.
  • Audits firearm sales in compliance with federal and state law and conducts background checks.
  • Provides supervisory oversight to the team member talent lifecycle including hiring and onboarding.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • At least three years of relevant work experience required.
  • Exceptional supervisory and management skills.
  • Ability to effectively coach team members on store policies and expectations.
  • Excellent customer service orientation.
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of business implications of decisions.
  • Working knowledge of inventory software, order processing systems, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office products.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in retail management or logistics management.
  • Knowledge of firearms sales and regulations.
