About the position

The Store Loss Prevention Investigator at Sephora is responsible for protecting the store's assets against theft while ensuring a positive client experience. This role involves conducting surveillance, preparing reports on theft incidents, and collaborating with store leadership to implement Store Shrink Plans. The investigator will also participate in training and maintain awareness of loss prevention strategies within the store.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct surveillance on the sales floor and utilize CCTV systems to identify and deter theft.
  • Adhere to laws and Sephora policies regarding apprehensions and evidence preservation.
  • Prepare reports on theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, and audits.
  • Testify in court on behalf of the company when summoned.
  • Participate in store meetings and training to enhance loss prevention awareness.
  • Support multiple store locations as needed.
  • Investigate internal theft using various resources in partnership with District Loss Prevention Managers.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-year asset protection or loss prevention experience in a retail environment.
  • Flexible availability to work during peak retail hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to stand/walk the sales floor for the entire shift, with or without accommodation.
  • Satisfy and maintain all licensing requirements as required by state or local jurisdiction.
  • Adherence to Sephora's dress code and policies.
