About the position

As an Automotive Store Manager at Big O Tires, you will oversee the daily operations of the retail store, ensuring efficiency and profitability while leading a team to deliver exceptional customer service. This role involves driving sales growth, managing staff, and maintaining high standards for store operations and customer care.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage overall daily operations of the retail store.
  • Drive sales growth and enhance customer experience on the sales floor.
  • Inspire, motivate, lead, and develop the store team.
  • Control expenses and protect company assets to maximize store profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards for cleanliness and operations.
  • Hire, train, and evaluate store staff performance.
  • Monitor payroll and controllable expenses on P&L.
  • Provide clear and consistent feedback to employees.
  • Prepare and inspect work orders and ensure compliance with regulations.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in an automotive repair facility management capacity.
  • Minimum of 2 years automotive industry experience.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English; Spanish speaking is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers and employees.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in managing team sales and bottom-line performance.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and Federal and State Environmental regulations.
