About the position

The Store Manager/Event Coordinator at Olive My Pickle will oversee the operations of The Pickle Factory, ensuring exceptional customer service and driving sales performance. This role involves managing staff, coordinating events, and enhancing the store's marketing and social media presence. The manager will create personalized customer experiences while maintaining high standards of store presentation and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day store operations, including managing staff, scheduling shifts, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Guide customers in exploring the unique product line and learning about fermentation.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets by implementing effective sales strategies and motivating the team.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor staff to ensure they are knowledgeable and aligned with store goals.
  • Monitor sales performance and prepare reports to analyze trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Plan and coordinate events in the event space, maintaining a schedule of booked events and coordinating with the marketing team.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain the store's appearance and cleanliness, ensuring products are well-organized and displayed attractively.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a store manager or in a similar retail management role.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a passion for creating a positive shopping experience.
  • Solid understanding of sales principles and retail operations.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications and point-of-sale (POS) systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of fermentation and pickle products is a plus but not required.
  • Prior event coordination experience, social media and marketing knowledge.
