About the position

The Store Manager at L'Occitane En Provence is a pivotal role responsible for driving sales results and managing a team of Beauty Advisors to ensure operational excellence and brand loyalty. This position requires a dynamic leader who can inspire and motivate their team while maintaining the high standards of the L'Occitane brand. The Store Manager will be tasked with meeting or exceeding daily, monthly, and annual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by analyzing business metrics and developing actionable plans to enhance performance. This includes creating associate schedules to strategically manage labor costs and fostering a sense of accountability and entrepreneurial spirit among team members. In addition to sales management, the Store Manager will play a crucial role in recruiting and developing talent. This involves sourcing, hiring, and retaining top-tier Assistant Managers and Beauty Advisors, while consistently seeking out qualified candidates to build a strong team. The Store Manager will also be responsible for providing ongoing training and development to ensure that all associates meet the brand's service expectations and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics. Operational excellence is another key responsibility, which includes maintaining L'Occitane's visual and merchandising standards, managing stock organization and inventory control, and ensuring that the store environment is clean and inviting. The Store Manager will communicate relevant business information to the team and manage payroll effectively. Additionally, they will contribute to the company's sustainability initiatives by supporting waste reduction programs and promoting refill products. Overall, the Store Manager is expected to embody the values of authenticity and respect, leading the store with pride, passion, and confidence while delivering an exceptional customer experience that aligns with the L'Occitane brand.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales results by meeting or exceeding daily, monthly, and annual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Create associate schedules to manage labor costs strategically.
  • Foster a sense of accountability and entrepreneurial spirit among associates.
  • Recruit, hire, develop, and retain top talent including Assistant Managers and Beauty Advisors.
  • Provide consistent positive and constructive feedback to team members.
  • Ensure training and development of the team to meet brand service expectations.
  • Maintain and coach L'OCCITANE visual and merchandising standards.
  • Manage stock organization, replenishment, and inventory control.
  • Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and maintain store cleanliness.
  • Communicate relevant business information to the team in a timely manner.
  • Manage and approve weekly payroll.
  • Interact transparently with District Managers and associates.
  • Model and teach others to create a positive customer experience.
  • Support customer loyalty programs and contribute to waste reduction initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
  • 4+ years of work experience in retail sales, with a background in luxury boutique management being a plus.
  • Experience in creating and implementing sales and business strategies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate math skills and computer literacy, including MS Office and POS software.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
