About the position

The Store Manager in Training (MIT) at Insomnia Cookies is a full-time role focused on developing hospitality-oriented individuals into effective store managers. The position involves supervising and training team members, managing store operations in the absence of the Store Ops Manager, and ensuring high standards of customer service and product quality. The MIT will also participate in hiring processes and support inventory and scheduling tasks, all while working in a fun and dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform as Manager-on-Duty during scheduled shifts when Store Ops Manager is not present.
• Supervise, train, and coach 2-5 team members engaged in cookie sales and customer deliveries.
• Lead new hourly staff onboarding and initial training.
• Conduct initial interviews for potential new hires in the manager's absence.
• Support Store Ops Manager with ordering, inventory control, and scheduling.
• Hold staff accountable to Insomnia Cookies' standards (baking, uniform, company policies, etc.).
• Ensure all team members are upselling and providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or retail store.
• Prior experience conducting in-person interviews of hourly support staff.
• Prior Point of Sale (POS) systems experience.
• Ability to utilize MS Office, Word, and the Applicant Tracking System.
• Must be 18 years of age or older and have legal eligibility for employment in the United States.
