About the position

The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) role at CVS Health is a development-focused position designed to prepare individuals for a future Store Manager role. This program emphasizes leadership development through a structured 16-week training that includes both virtual and hands-on learning experiences. Participants will engage with various leaders within the organization to enhance their skills and support their growth towards becoming effective store leaders.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to support and lead the team.
• Perform customer care duties to ensure high levels of service.
• Execute merchandising strategies to drive store sales growth.
• Manage store inventory and assets to maintain profitability.
• Actively engage with leaders in Key Learning Experiences to facilitate promotion during the training program.
• Support the store as a management team member and lead in alignment with CVS values and policies.
• Engage colleagues in support of the company's purpose of helping people on their path to better health.
• Be willing to accept promotion roles within the designated market.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor's Degree is preferred, or relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a college degree.
• Retail management experience or experience as a CVS Supervisor is preferred.
