About the position

The Store Manager in Training (SMIT) position at CVS Health is a development-focused role designed to prepare individuals for a future Store Manager position. This program emphasizes personal and professional growth through a structured 16-week training that includes both virtual and hands-on learning experiences. Participants will engage with various leaders within the organization to enhance their leadership skills and support the store's operations while embodying CVS's values and commitment to customer care.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to support and lead the team.
• Perform customer care duties to ensure high levels of service.
• Execute merchandising strategies to drive store sales growth.
• Manage store inventory and assets to maintain profitability.
• Engage actively with leaders in Key Learning Experiences to support promotion efforts during the training program.
• Support the store as a management team member and lead in alignment with CVS values and policies.
• Encourage colleagues to support the company's purpose of helping people on their path to better health.
• Be open to accepting promotion roles within the designated market.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred or relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a college degree.
• Retail management experience or experience as a CVS Supervisor is preferred.
