About the position

The Store Manager in Training (SMIT) role at CVS Health is a development-focused position designed to prepare individuals for a future Store Manager role. This program spans 16 weeks and includes both virtual and hands-on learning experiences aimed at enhancing leadership skills. Participants will engage with various leaders within the organization to support their growth and development as future store leaders, while actively contributing to the store's operations and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to support and lead the team.
  • Perform customer care duties to ensure high levels of service.
  • Execute merchandising strategies to drive store sales growth.
  • Manage store inventory and assets to maintain profitability.
  • Engage with leaders in Key Learning Experiences to facilitate promotion during the training program.
  • Support the store as a management team member and lead in alignment with CVS values and policies.
  • Encourage colleagues to support the company's purpose of helping people on their path to better health.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred, or relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a college degree.
  • Retail management experience or experience as a CVS Supervisor is required.
  • Willingness to accept a promotion to Store Manager role at any location in the designated market.
  • Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores within the designated market.
  • Ability to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs.
