The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) position at CVS Health is a development-focused role designed to prepare individuals for a future Store Manager position. You will also be responsible for executing merchandising strategies that contribute to store sales growth, managing store inventory and assets to ensure profitability, and engaging with colleagues to promote the company's purpose of helping people on their path to better health. While selection for the SMIT position provides a pathway to a Store Manager role, it does not guarantee promotion. Factors such as performance and availability of openings will influence the timing and opportunity for advancement. Candidates must be willing to accept a promotion to a Store Manager role at any location within the designated market and be flexible with their work schedule based on business needs.
