About The Position

The Store Manager in Training (SMIT) position at CVS Pharmacy is a development-focused role designed to prepare individuals for a future Store Manager position. The program spans 16 weeks and includes both virtual and hands-on learning experiences aimed at enhancing leadership skills. Participants will engage in key learning experiences and support store operations while embodying CVS values and policies.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a college degree.
  • Retail management experience or experience as a CVS Supervisor is preferred.
  • Willingness to accept promotion roles within the designated market.
  • Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores within the designated market.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.

  • Experience in retail management or supervisory roles.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to support and lead the team.
  • Perform customer care duties to ensure high levels of service.
  • Execute merchandising strategies to drive store sales growth.
  • Manage store inventory and assets to maintain profitability.
  • Engage with leaders in Key Learning Experiences to support promotion efforts during the training program.
  • Support the store as a management team member and lead in alignment with CVS values.
  • Encourage colleagues to support the company's purpose of helping people on their path to better health.
