About the position

As a Store Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of a single store, focusing on achieving sales, profitability, customer satisfaction, inventory control, brand representation, and team member growth. In this role, you will communicate performance expectations to your team, ensuring they understand how their performance impacts the company's success. You will coach and develop your staff to represent the brand consistently and execute store visuals and marketing effectively. Your leadership will be crucial in driving a high level of customer service, empowering team members to resolve customer issues, and following up on customer requests. You will also be responsible for attaining sales projections and quotas, identifying operational successes and opportunities for improvement, and implementing initiatives that drive results. As a Store Manager, you will demonstrate a commitment to the company's People First vision by selecting and developing talent, providing onboarding experiences, and ongoing coaching in various areas such as operations, sales techniques, and customer service. You will maintain open communication with your team, encouraging participation and idea sharing. Additionally, you will ensure a positive work atmosphere where all team members feel respected and valued. Your role will also involve maintaining compliance with company policies, achieving outstanding sales performance, and managing store operations effectively during peak selling periods. This position requires a strong focus on performance excellence, customer obsession, and critical thinking. You will be expected to respond promptly to management directives, maintain the cleanliness of the store, and work a flexible schedule that includes both opening and closing shifts. Your ability to motivate and influence others will be key to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the store to achieve sales and profitability goals.
  • Ensure exceptional customer experience through training and communication.
  • Coach and develop store staff to instill understanding of brand image.
  • Communicate performance expectations and monitor progress against goals.
  • Empower team members to resolve customer issues and drive high customer service levels.
  • Develop strategies to maximize personal and team sales potential.
  • Identify operational successes and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain open communication with team members and management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and practices.
  • Achieve outstanding sales performance and increase profit margins.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of college preferred.
  • At least 3 years of retail sales experience, or 2 years of retail sales experience plus 1 year of retail management experience.
  • Preference for candidates with specialty retail or jewelry experience.
  • Preference for candidates that are Diamond Council of America (DCA) certified.
  • Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient with computers, especially MS Office and related business tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships.
  • Advanced presentation skills for team member training and customer presentations.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and set priorities effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
