About the position

The Store Manager for Goodwill of Colorado is responsible for overseeing the operations of multiple retail locations within Region #2, ensuring profitability and community engagement. This role requires strong leadership skills, retail management experience, and a commitment to the organization's mission of supporting the community. The Store Manager will manage various departments, drive sales and donations, and empower staff to achieve both professional and personal goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage operations to achieve profitability through budgeting, financial reporting, and profit & loss management.
  • Oversee merchandising, donation collection, and loss prevention efforts.
  • Build community rapport and customer relations with an 'Attitude of Gratitude'.
  • Conduct store meetings to communicate expectations and track progress towards goals.
  • Develop and manage budgets to maximize revenue and minimize expenses.
  • Empower and lead store staff, ensuring safety and productivity.
  • Directly responsible for hiring, performance management, and employee goal setting.
  • Maintain knowledge of Goodwill policies and safety standards.
  • Support corporate culture while being open to process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Store Manager or similar role with accountability for business success.
  • High energy and strategic thinking skills.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and people.
  • Understanding of marketing and retail principles.
  • Ability to create and implement budgets and understand statistical information.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in restaurant management is a plus.
  • Familiarity with production processes and quality control.
