About the position

The Shop Manager at Take 5 Oil Change is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the shop, ensuring excellent customer service, and leading a team of technicians. This role involves managing staff, maintaining shop standards, and driving financial results while providing a hassle-free oil change experience to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new team members.
  • Motivating the team and holding them accountable for performance.
  • Checking in with customers to ensure a great experience.
  • Ensuring the crew provides excellent customer service.
  • Controlling inventory and conducting end-of-period and end-of-year inventory.
  • Placing product orders and understanding shop financials.
  • Conducting quarterly employee evaluations.
  • Submitting payroll and creating crew schedules.
  • Supporting technicians with their duties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • 2 years of supervising experience (preferred).
  • 2 years of customer service experience (preferred).
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Ability to work in hot/cold weather conditions.
  • Must be adaptive to change.
